Though it is sort of like a 'pity gift' and I dont want pity but i cant downgrade how sweet the thought was.

Or, maybe, she actually appreciates you and feels like you've been robbed of a lot of birthdays and other stuff and wanted to do something to show that.

Good morning (now no longer) birthday girl.

No, its still my birthday, here on the east coast of the US its 9:15am 4/9 and last I checked thats my birthday. I posted this right at midnight between the 8th and the 9th...had no clue y'all over there in the UK and Australia are such party freaks lol.

I posted it then cuz of y'alls timezome over there. But here, we can party like its 1999 all day (well between calls at work ;))cuz here its my birthday and here is all i care about lol.

@Mr Laurie bring in more cake, the party over there gets to go longer cause over here its earlier...9:20am on my birthday to be exact.

This thread has been AMAZING whether the party continues or not. I should bookmark it and read through it when feeling depressed and alone. If it can make me smile, laugh, and cry directly after a nightmare, it has a lot of greatness in it from great people!

Indeed @scout86 i so love your gentle corrections...and sometimes a gentle slap on the back of the head lol.

I would of appreciated anything, just a "happy birthday" or a card would of suffice but she did feel bad that I never get anything. But im a giver and dont want anything so im that person that if asked what i wanted for my b-day or christmas my answer is always "you dont need to get me anything", or "nothing", or "i dont need anything", etc.

So most Christmases I get a few gift cards. I like the cup and I did need one so she did pick something that I needed and use 5 days a week...and love I can hand wash this one; the others got tore up in the dishwasher. Just feel bad that she spent $10 on a cup with the snack thing on the top when I likely wont use the snack thing. But you never know.
