Other Adrenal malfunction vs Addison’s?

Hi everyone. I’m curious if we have any members with Addison’s disease experience?

I’ve had a long run of adrenal issues and keep hearing Addison’s thrown around.

I asked VA, but they aren’t really the best for outside the box thinking and played ignorant. Then I discovered that JFK developed Addison’s shortly after WW II.

It seems much more than simple bad luck for combatants to regularly report adrenal issues. JFK almost died In the war and was severely injured. Maybe there’s something to this?

Combat and adrenal failure seem to go hand in hand. Is there anything to support Addison’s arriving with a Purple Heart?

In short, I want to ensure VA is treating this appropriately, and I’m very paranoid about drug dependency.

I just want to know what’s what and if anyone else has seen a correlation between burn-out, combat, long-term abuse, and other high stress environments that leads to Addison’s/Adrenal failures?

Addison is one of the conditions I'm having some investigations for. I don't know much about it at this stage but chronic stress can trigger adrenal fatigue as the condition is pretty much what it says on the tin. I suffer from laboured breathing and rapid pulse, respiratory and cardiac pain as well as pain throughout my digestive system so I'm not convinced it is Addison but will report back as I go in case it gives you any clues as to what you are suffering with. Also have you had your thyroid checked as it is a useful preliminary test.
