Does anybody get so agitated that they feel like they want to climb out their skin? It's a really weird feeling like u just want to scratch your insides! :eek:
 
yes I know what you mean its all about learning healthy self soothing techniques which is easier to do in some places more than others. I think its when your nervous system feels over aroused.
 
Definitely trying to find out what can calm you down will be a big help. Going with the 5 senses would be a great place to start. Breathing (counting breathing) is a really great tool for trying to calm oneself down.

Yeah I had it when I was younger too but just thought I had too much energy to burn. In fact it looks like I had anxiety before the attack but I just didn't know it

Only every day! It's my job. To pretend to be calm in a very frustrating situation. Repairing mostly stupid people's internet and tv. Mostly stupid screaming people.

Yep, know that *want to crawl out of your skin* agitation well!

I have calming things I do such as controled breathing techniques and imaging metaphors like imagining myself floating on my back on water. And using DBT self soothing techniques like holding a very soft piece of fabric.
