I'm the eldest...and the guinea pig. The one they made all the mistakes with so the other kids wouldn't cop it. The one that got the blame when the younger kids got up to mischief.

1st born.

I have a weird sort of birth order. I consider myself both a first born and a middle child because I am my mother's second child and my father's first child, but my older brother is so much older than me (10 years) that he and I never really had a sibling relationship like I had with my younger brother, and he moved out of the house when I was about 8 years old, so I never know how to answer that question...

I am a middle child of 5
(As of March 2011)
Oldest is sister 42
next sister 37
Me 32
next sister 28
next brother 24

also I don't think being a middle child has anything to due with PTSD but I do believe that we go through a difficult time as middle children for sure. There is the middle child syndrome.

I wonder how much truth there is in the older having abuse trauma while the middle has neglect trauma.

I’m the oldest, and my mum was only just 17 when she had me, my dad was five years older than her.

I have two sisters and two brothers. (all with same parents)

second born
first baby died at 9 months old , 1 year before I was born
so I am a middle, and an only child for seven years, and then oldest
when my brother was born
