I'm the youngest of four. I'm the only boy, and my three sisters are gapped away from me by a fair share of years so we didn't grow up too closely.

So far this poll has shown me that a huge amount of people who are abusive have multiple children (only 11 votes for only child, though I know a lot of people's trauma is not from direct family).

Old thread I know, but I think the reality is that there is a smaller percentage of only children period. Only 20% of the U.S. population is an only child.

My dad's youngest of 6 and my mom's youngest of two.

There was a baby my mom lost 2 years before me at 2 hrs old but no one ever counts him so if he is counted then youngest of my dad's 7 and my mom's 3.
