I left the gym today and went to arbys lol I didn't have any food left in the house. I then had a piece of blackberry pie later before a hike haha I'm not entirely strict. But I will say that healthy eating and exercise makes me feel the best.

Thinking about what you said..I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Amish but I remember reading about how they eat very traditionally "bad" food as in fried, made with alot of sugar and lard etc. They have exceptional health though because of the kind of work they do. One man was quoted to have said about healthy food " you don't want to throw the baby out with that bath water. You can't get people to eat it if it doesn't taste good" or something like that

Aware off, but not familiar, as Amish is an American thing.

Similarly though, it reminds of shows I've watched by Jamie Oliver, where he goes into schools and turns them from fatty food cesspools to healthy, tasty, environments. Similar theory... food must taste good. Healthy should not mean bland, and that is where too many run off the reservation with personal beliefs versus factual science.

I believe the Amish people are very hard manual labor workers? So they would burn lots of calories, thus they would need sufficient caloric intake. I'm no expert on health -- I've read and watched enough though to clearly see the evidence that excessive types of food create bad fat, which then does damage to our body, organs, so forth.

I take away the moral of most health based content as -- everything in moderation. What goes in, must equally be burnt. Healthy body tends to equal healthy mind.

The Amish are from Germany and Switzerland and came over here to live and they live off the land much like 100 years ago. There are Amish and Mennonites ( use more modern things) not too awful far from here. There is an Amish store that sells dent items ( food salvage store) but also has a bakery and deli. The food is amazing!
Scroll through and look at the donuts lol ( and this is a health thread haha)
