Well ........ They took bloods in ER ....... They came back satisfactory and the nurse told me I could go home last night! Yeah right, five minutes later i was ordered by the ER ***consultant" ***get back in that chair Mr Davey you are being admitted for surgery !!**
So ! I did as I was told and obeyed her, sat in the chair and my P Nurse (Claire) attempted five times to get a canula in so they could put an IV plasma drip in, she failed so!, Dr Dracula tried a further three times, she failed !!!
Ten minutes later 1945 hrs I was admitted urgently to the MAU, given a sedative to dull my senses ready for surgery !!
2005 yrs Dr Amrahn my Gastro Surgical consultant entered my bay, took one look at the ER report and blew his "stack", "what the flying f***are they doing admitting you again ?"
"They have read last Fridays Endoscopy report, NOT todays!!"
Suffice to say I was dischrged instantly with new instructions NOT to call my GP again and to challenge every Dr in the ER. To say the air was "blue" with expletives would be an understatement.
Well, at least my ward Nurse was the lovely Tori, she came to my my bedside with a wry little glint in her eyes! I shall say no more ;)
