Being A Problem Solver

I was talking to a forum member just recently and mentioned to them, that I am a problem solver, I always want to find solutions and ways to solve issues to resolve an issue.

This thought has kick started me into thinking just how much of a problem solver I really am, and since then I have been thinking that this might be one of the reasons that I have come so far in my healing with PTSD....Whatever issue I am having that involves the PTSD or an issue within myself, I look and seek ways to resolve it, or to find the correct answer to fix it.

I don't like failing, failure isn't acceptable with me when it comes to this, so I just keep working on it until I find a way to overcome it and solve it. There have been very few times that I have walked away from an issue in my life, and even those, I still try to find ways after the fact to find ways to not ever having to repeat the same move in the future.....The times that I have walked away from things, I did so, because my mental/physical health at the time was not able to handle the issue. I never just forget that issue, it's always on hold until I am stronger and can work on it, and find ways to resolve it.....

I have known many people in my life time and so many of these people that have issues, they tend to ignore, use avoidance, get angry, use denial, sleep to avoid, stay locked within the issue and get sicker because of lack of a resolution, or try and just give up......I find this sad, and can't fathom living like this......

I also believe that having good old common sense can help people, more than they realize when it comes to solving issues, and then implementing it.....

Maybe it's because solving problems is all positive-it's forward motion, and coming out on the other side of SOMETHING, I think. Everything about this post is entirely, completely from a postive perspective and surely that is the absolute strongest path to healing? Very good thread.

Yes, that you are! I think it ties in with you perfectionism and your ability to relate and want to help others. It is a good trait to have one that I used to have but have lost along the way...
