I have tried just accepting that this is a memory that has tricked my body into feeling that it is real. I just decide to stop caring about the past and get super busy, going out, and basically pretend I don't GAS until I fake it till I make it.

I used to let them make me feel really bad emotionally. I'm sure I'll wallow again. I'm good at it. But I find that just shrugging the pain off as not real and getting out for some fun anyway has worked because the pain is coming from a child part, and children have trouble being in a bad mood when they are out playing and having fun. :)
