Bosnia And Herzegovina

Hi there.
I m writting in front of the association of people who sufer by PTSD,``Life`` . We are from Bosnia and we try to found some association like us all over the world. Here we have a huge problems with understandingby our society even doctors. We don` t have any support so we want to make some kind of union with another people and associations that are dealing with this problem. Any kind of help are more than welcome.

zdrav! I am in UK and am form ABiH soldier of Dobrinja Brigada. I was in BiH week 1 of April. I am normally on a different forum for combat problems. I am in an association of 1 person where I life. That is myself! Which does not help you, but I understand absolutely where you are. I am there too. Contact me if you like.

I did 3 trips to BiH. 94 I was based in Visoko, driving releif suplies, 97 in Kulen Valuf driving an Ambulance (won't do that again) and 2000 in Klug doing security patrols.

I was in Hungary during the worst of the conflict and had dear friends who were refugees. They have all since moved to different countries and I haven't been able to reconnect.

If/when I do, maybe I can connect them to you here...

I don't know. Sometimes I think it would be good to go back and see how it turned out. To see that the efforts were not in vain. But at the same time, I remember the hate I saw there. I don't know how such hate could be over come. Going back, what would I see? Hope, or more hate? I don't think I really want to know the answer to that.

I think there is hope and hate everywhere. I used to obsess about going back, but I also see the same aspects of human nature here and everywhere I go. Hopefully we draw lessons for our own lives.

It's up to people locally to determine what to do, what to teach their children, outsiders can only effect things on a superficial level. Not that it's in vain at all, but I don't believe you can transplant your own culture and "fix" anyone else's. They have to live out their free will and see how it turns out.

All you can do is show that you care, and that you didn't stand by and let the suffering go unanswered... it's a universal gesture of humanity, and there's no way to measure the success. Just faith I guess.

Does that make any sense at all?

The differance between 94 and 2000 was amazing. I guess I prefer to think that they kept going with that trend, then to return and find out differant.
