Yes, yes and yes, however; this is a PTSD Forum, not a anything you want forum, because you feel depressed, anxious, stubbed my toe, etc type forum Ronin.

Your efforts to undermine and belittle my attempt to show compassion and sympathy for a fellow human being in obvious pain is not appreciated in the least Anthony. You told me "Yes, yes, and yes" but then you inserted a "however" which to me communicates "forget what I just said, here's what I actually mean" and then compared my post to empathizing with someone stubbing their toe which, whether you intended for it to be or not, I find highly offensive and insulting. You are a staff member on this forum and if you feel compelled to shoo someone away from it that is your perrogative, but there is no need the throw me under the bus in the process. It is not in my nature to tolerate disprespect from someone even if they are an authority figure.

As stated to Felix, there is no intent implied, and what you feel from how you determine text is how you feel, and I apologise if you determine things incorrectly from how they are implied.

Again though, this is a PTSD Forum, not a forum for everything and anything, not a forum for people who suffered something traumatic, because that is 60% + of the world population. This is a forum purely for those who have been diagnosed with PTSD, OR, directly support a PTSD sufferer.

I was agreeing with your compassion, yet as a member, you do not have the position or authority to really outline to another member on who should or should not be supported here. That is the bottom line.

Whilst you and someone else may think that is harsh, you are not the one running the forum, nor have been for the past 5 1/2 years, nor do I see another committing themselves to provide such ongoing support to people around the world... so until you do, then I will change my attitude towards an individual member, yet I would highly suspect, any member who did fall into that category, they know exactly all too well the issues in running an online community with members who think they have ownership rights and equality within any community they join.

Ronin, words do not come with emotion, so please clarify if in doubt, as per the rules clearly state. I am not trying to offend you, I apologise if I have offended you, but as I have stated above.... there is a line for all members, please don't cross it into the realm of staff's concerns on who can and cannot be here.

I will not perpetuate this discussion and accept your apology. I will also finish by saying that at no point was I in any way shape or form suggesting that you were wrong for saying felix shouldn't participate in this forum because he lacks a diagnosis. Nor am I entirely sure how you got that impression. My agitation was directed toward the fact that I felt you were belittling felix and my empathy for him by throwing his experience into the same pot as a stubbing one's toe. If you think felix should leave, tell him, there's no need to patronize me and my words in the process.

Thank you again for your apology. Have a nice day.

Sorry Ronin... the big toe remark is based on a saying that I often use, due to the current issues with misdiagnosis of PTSD coming from primarily the US, in that people are being diagnosed with it for "stubbing their big toe" pretty much. This forum has seen an influx of people being told they have PTSD because they feel depressed, they feel anxious, they tripped and hurt themselves walking along the street, they broke up from a relationship, etc etc... that is the inference to the "big toe" remark. That is what has been occurring on this forum over the past months, progressively getting worse. None of these areas fit a PTSD diagnosis. It is a saying that I use for such references, not aimed at an insult towards what I was responding to you with.

Again, apologies you felt it was.
