Bum Wiping & Wet One's Aka Moist Towelette's

I was going to mention that also, about the wet wipes being good for ladies but I didn't wanna offend/gross out anybody. Then again it's a conversation about poo...guess I didn't think that one through huh?

I have used moist tissues for years now and agree totally with Anthony - I was instantly converted and would never go back! And as some of the girls have said, they are great at certain times of the month too. I've converted hubby and the lads too. I buy Asda's (Walmart) own about 79p per pack. I also carry packets of tissues and a small pack of travel wipes in case I have to use the public loos. Some are OK but in others there is no loo paper and no soap!

I was in the loos on the end of Llandudno Pier once and a lady and her little girl were in the next cubicle. She was complaining about there being no loo roll so I asked her if she wanted a packet of my handy tissues. She said, 'thanks, I don't like to drip dry!' I wet myself laughing but at least I was sat on the loo at the time.:D

Then once, on holiday in Wales, myself, hubby and the lads were enjoying a drink in a pub when H decided he needed the loo. He was gone for ages and I nearly sent out a search party. When he eventually came back we asked him what had taken so long. He had done a huge log and couldn't get it to flush away! We couldn't stop laughing thinking of the poor person who uses the loo next or has to go in and clean it! We often joke that my H left his 'calling card' in a pub in Wales and wonder if it is still there! We get worried every time he uses the loo when we are out and ask him if he left a 'calling card.' :roflmao:

Toilets in service areas in France are totally gross. They still have holes in the ground and you have to squat, no toilet paper, so wipes and tissues are a must.

I bet I could gross you all out, I have ulcerative colitis and ummmm lets say wipes are definitely needed. More details on request but really I'd advise not going there :poop:

I couldn't believe it when I was in France KP. And the men's in Paris was just a round thing with the men peeing and you could see the top of them and the legs but not the middle (thankfully!) It seemed such an alien place and I hated having to squat!

I'm sure the Paris loos are better now but this is what they were like...

French travel tip. If you hate squatting and I do, my balance isn't brilliant , use the disabled toilet. They are 'proper' toilets. You do still need your own paper and wipes though.

Thank god for this thread. I laughed so hard. Poop humor always helps.

Oddly enough, this topic came up in other places today, too. How silly is that? Moist towlette synchronicites. ROFLOL.

France and Italy alike! Not to mention the lack of an appropriate support as seats and lids must be hard to come by- and nothing is worse than the "squat and deuce", as defined my by 7 year old. We usually refer to it as "Operation: _______ (persons name), Code: Brown, - Send in wet wipe support teams.".

They are also quite handy for using as a guard when a seat is present- I don't know what they are called but the paper rings that you place on the seat (ass gaskets). I have used it as such when there is no wiping paper or paper guards to line the seat with.
