C-ptsd And Relationship / Sex Addiction

I am needing info on Complex PTSD and relationship/sex addiction- is it common for sexual abuse survivors to have major issues with this? My husband is coming to terms with his issues here and it is incredibly difficult.

I am a survivor of sexual child abuse and I have c-PTSD.

I did suffer from sex addiction and promiscuity and it eventually got better.

I do believe this is a common problem for abuse survivors, especially those who trauma was sexual in nature. It takes a conscious effort to break the cycle of addiction but, it can be done.

I suggest getting him help with a trauma specialist.

We both have PTSD, which makes it tricky. But, after years and years of work mine is so much more manageable. I guess I am struggling with boundaries with someone who has such an amazing heart but the most extreme PTSD....

He has a lot of coping styles that are harmful to our relationship and he wants to actively work on this and I appreciate that but am feeling pretty worn down at the moment.
