Can i file a complaint against a psychiatric case manager?

I'm attending therapy and seeing a psychiatrist at a clinic right now. My first assigned psychiatrist departed, so I was...

Ive heard the AMA's disciplinary procedure referred to as a toothless tiger...if you go to all the trouble of finding out about the complaints process then successfully escalate the complaint the worst punishment (unless criminally charged) is the psych has to appear before a panel of their peers and will have to answer to a review of the case...in other words the best outcome you could hope for is the psych you complain about has to chat about it with a group of other psych's...in my opinion you'll get about as far as a prisoner would get complaining about a warden...it's funny treaters are almost completely reliant on what a patient tells them - yet a patient has no credibility when they speak up and do not agree with what a treater says or thinks - even tho it's based on what the patient has told them....weird

And I'm sure my case manager knows this. I'm sure they all know it, which is all the more reason to be on the lookout for abuses and unprofessional behavior. Basically, there isn't much of a deterrent to it, so they figure, "What the hell?"

I'd say trust your gut feeling.

On something not related to your situation and trusting your gut, I went to a driving school and the teacher spooked me right off. Couldn't put my finger on it. Just knew in my gut I didn't trust him. I stayed with that feeling and kept alert to anything he might do. Sure enough, two months into the six month school the guy made his move and tried to molest me.
