It's not beating a dead horse. I see this thread as a constructive attempt to understand all the hubbub about the war. There are many Americans and citizens of other countries who wonder what the hell is the deal and don't realize that this has been simmering for literally millenia.

I like your theory, Wayne. To me it boils down to that potent mix of religion, greed, and power. It's a vicious cycle, and when you get those who just want more, more, more no matter what the cost -- become entrenched for generations (to the detriment of the natives), start manipulating...well.
