[ Jesus, the Way to the Father ] “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
John 14:1-3 NLT

If you have a copy of Jesus Calling, today’s entry... I feel wonderfully understood after reading it. If not, see short passage below:

“I am leading you along a way that is uniquely right for you. The closer to Me you grow, the more fully you become your true self – the one I designed you to be.”

- and –

“Remain in me, as I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” John 15:4

Yes! JESUS CALLING is the book that my Sunday School class uses to base our discussions on. I bought her new book at Walmart, it is called JESUS ALWAYS. (by Sarah Young) It is a 365 day Devotional.

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NLT

I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NLT

Younger Me – Mercy Me

You are holy
You are righteous
You are one of the redeemed
Set apart a brand new heart
You are free indeed

Every mountain every valley
Thru each heartache you will see
Every moment brings you closer
To who you were meant to be

I became Christian when I was 19. I had been increasingly depressed and suicidal and generally not functioning well cognitively for years. I started reading the bible daily. After a year I found my mental and cognitive health had significantly improved. I've recently gotten back into this and started going to a church that is very positivè and affirming. Although this year has been one of the most challenging so far as trauma recovery is concerned I've managed well thanks largely to these supports and of course ou heavenly Father who empowers.
