I have a discussion question for all of you: What things do you do to walk closer with our God, be more like Jesus and in general be good Christians?

To walk close to God; I pray a lot and look / listen for his answers and I spend quiet time alone in nature,....(when weather permits)....because I feel closer to God when I am outside in nature.

To be more like Jesus; I love my neighbor as myself, I love the Lord God with all my heart and soul, and I try to bring healing to others.

To be a good Christian; I ask for these blessings; to see through the world through the eyes of love, to speak with wisdom, and to be guided through each day as a good 'representative' of Christ's love and mercy.

I hope I do these things well.

(Not Christian so not applicable entirely, but having faith in God & prayer and thankfulness in religious terms I try to nurture whenever it makes sense to me emotionally to do so, so hanging around)

To walk closer with God: acknowledge & nurture compassion, in myself and others. Looking for alternate solutions instead of a single, narrow path, for He only can know the ultimate right and wrong, not my stubborn ass.

To be more like Jesus: always mind my environment & be ready to help. Watch out for those needing.

Spread mercy & rationality instead of hate & cruelty.

@Cashew and @Lionheart777 those are some great thoughts, both of you. I agree about being close to nature makes one feel closer to God, and I often look out my window and thank Him for the view out there and His creation. Living out in the country in the mountains has really given me so many blessings.

And I definitely believe that listening for His answers and also just in general the things He says, these things are very important.
