As soon as you see him you walk out and get a restraining order. That means that he can not be close to you. That would be the only way and perhaps inform your boss too.
The person that stalked me did that too after being fired. He visited all kinds of so called friends at my workplace where I worked and I knew he was there because of me. To distress me and it worked. Every time I knew he was in the building I was petrified.
I am so sorry you have to go through this.
