Ohh neat! I'm excited for him to have peace of mind too.
How will that go with Dove though?
Yassssss good kitties deserve a quiet happy space!!!
Plus then, since I don’t have a son like my sister does, I can work Taz up to being able to go back to the vet!!! His back legs are all fixed up but he HATES car rides. (I only know two cats who like them, and one of them is fictional.)
And Dove was raised around a million animals, so the only one that really makes her nervous are cats that won’t stop staring and my snake Nudge. She has known cats since she was less than three months old, and that was back when I was a child living with my dad — my dad hoarded animals, so we had one of everything, including several illegal things. Dove shared a room with me, four cats, a hedgehog, two guinea pigs, a leaf tailed gecko (a REALLY rare breed, there was only 1000 left in the wild at this time), a newt, four hamsters, two rats, and a mom and dad mouse and their babes. So Dove is pretty comfortable with stuff like that. If she flew into the living room or dining room, there were even MORE animals, and she never felt threatened.
She was actually besties with Pewter (a Maine come Russian blue mix, which are known for being incredibly smart and docile — so he knew the difference between a pet and something he was supposed to be hunting (we had him keep field mice away, because they made Dove’s night frights worse)).
Well now I’m ranting — but long story short, Dove likes cats as long as she’s not alone with them. Since I grew up I haven’t let Dove interact with cats, but she can really hold her own. She chases cats out of her space while in her cage sometimes! Lol. She has even figured out how to get Nestle to back up.
So Dove will be fine as long as I have her in her cage. I can also close a door and play with Dove while the cats entertain themselves in some other way!
I just felt it important for me to let you know that I really care for you and want you to stay alive, too :hug:
Thank you
Ironically, next year I'm gonna be taking a course on the genetics of memory and guess what the model organism is (because it's not really ethical to use humans...)... fruit flies!!!
I THOUGHT ABOUT JOKING ABOUT THIS, but you got it!!!!
I dreamed we were working together last night in a microbe lab, lol. I had a bunch of crappy dreams, but that one was great!!
