Coma Survior

Where do I start? the begining would be a good place; however I am not sure when the begining was.
(okay, why is there no spell check?)
In 2009 I got bronchitis; it became pnuemonia. I was hospitalized. I suffered respiritoy failure. I was put in a coma. I was not expected to live, but I did.
I had PTSD before the coma; now I am having a relapse. I am so depressed! :(

I am glad you lived! I have always thought a coma would be so scary. (((Hugs))) I had a my first bout of pneumonia ever in January. That was a surprise to me. I never get colds or the flu and was in bed for six weeks. However not as as severe as your repository conditions. I hope you are feeling better.

The reason I'm sharing this with you is I found my self depressed from that too.
Then while in the throes of a depression session (Not too heavy but heavy enough to make me feel very very unmotivated and lethargic).Then I became re-traumatized and back with PTSD from seeing something.

The PTSD I thought I was over. Oh boy, did I have a big wishes...I will be OK...I pretty much know the drill but, do not know it all. I'm learning here.

I can relate to how you are feeling. Surely all of our stories are quite individualized but we are experiencing some similarities.

I hope your respiratory problems are all clearing up and that you feel better. :)

OMG! I don't even remember going to the hospital. I have rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes. The docs think one of the RA meds I was on caused the respiratory failure.
I was doing really well with all of my many medical conditions and then WHAM!
I think I have recovered as much as I can physically. My mental state is bad!

Hi, I am here again. I don't feel like doing anything today. I just want to lie on the couch and watch TV. I need to get my son who has Asperger's Syndrome and help him with some things.
