Do you like to listen to audio of nature sounds: bird song, ocean waves or similar in order to be able to sleep better? I am experiencing seasonal anxiety/depression because of autumn and found that I am not able to sleep so well if it's too quit.

Nope!

My kid has, since day 1. He’s in his 20’s, now, and still prefers to sleep to music/fans/etc. Silence and ambient noise? GRATES on him. Like sand paper. He needs discordant noise, to sleep soundly. Always has. No idea why, just that it works. Music, machinery, fans. It’s all of a piece.

My own self, I prefer whatever is naturally about, IE ambient. “White noise” or unnatural to the environment WAKES me up. It takes me about 3 days to a week to adjust to whatever the ambient noises are. Unless they’re BLATANT. (Like being on a train. Or in a party district.) The kinds of things most people can never sleep through, lull me to sleep. But deafness? The inability to tell what’s going on around me? A recipe for insomnia & hypervig.
