Psychiatrists are useless nowadays. Psychologists are the ones to visit for actual treatment, less reliance on drugs.

And masters ie MSWs/LCSWs of social work.

8+ years of schooling, baccalaureate & masters minimum, plus a few thousand hours of supervision -same as psych- before they can apply to be licensed; instead of 3 weeks of education by the council/county/state.

The only difference between an LCSW & PsyD? Psychology has an “ideal” to work towards, whilst MCSW/LCSWs “ideal” is the patients.
