In Australia the top 250 companies avoid enough tax every 3 months to pay for social security (welfare) for more than 5 years (1980s figures I can't be bothered to find out the latest estimates - it would make me too angry).
It is time to stop scapegoating the poor and disenfranchised, and make every one meet their mutual obligations. It is time for the richest to at least pay something approaching their fair share of tax.
I worked in the Tax Office in Australia and some companies pay less tax than a working family. It is disgusting. And they all are willing pay endlessly for premium legal representation,
and they can afford it, so the Tax Office doesn't have the same unlimited resources. So they get away with it - as they are too rich!
It is time to stop supporting the lifestyles of the super rich, and stop working and middle class people from financing their lifestyles, with the poor being used as the scapegoat and beat up in the media "as exploiting the system". Look at those tax breaks and then talk about totally exploiting the system.
Seriously can no one do mathematics anymore? Why can't people add the bleeding obvious up? I am talking literally here.
People like Trump serves and functions as a distraction, entertainment and to make the other candidates look not as bad. He scapegoats the traditional people that are scapegoated to direct people's fear and uncertainty away from their own lives, and therefore far away from any actual action, consistent rational thinking or proactive actions in the future, because those bad, scary, welfare cheats out there are the ones out there that are the real problem, and not parts of the system itself.
Trump comes under the distorted cognition of:
30. Falling victim to the “Door in the Face” technique.
When someone makes an outlandish request first, then makes a smaller request, the initial outlandish request makes the smaller request seem more reasonable.

You put up at totally crazy off the wall candidate and you put up a less crazy candidate without much policy and it doesn't matter as much because there is immense relief that Trump is off the table. No candidate can be as bad or embarrassing as Trump.
These things are carefully orchestrated, it is no accident that this is happening.
