Well Bio and Chem but I studied fluid dynamics and engineering aerodynamics on my own. My problems with climate change are with the thermodynamics-a favorite subject of mine. My shortest summary of my problem is 'Nature laughs at complex mathematics'

I have a few other science and engineering topic I'm really into but the list is long. In fact, as a scientist- I think that I'm more an engineer trained in science...a few people here have seen a little of my work in private.

Hmm. I have so much respect for your intelligence, Ed, and your training. But I think most scientists agree that climate change is a big problem.

Can you expand on how thermodynamics informs your view?

climate research but science is meant to be questioned. In that case, I'm just not believing heat transfer and processing in an open thermodynamic system can be modeled accurately. I actually did a homework problem once on the greenhouse effect (which is real of course) but in order to do that computation, I (the textbook really) had to make many simplifying assumptions. Then I looked at data collection methods and sampling and it was not internally consistent, at all. Then my friend looked at the statistical analyses and they weren't appropriate to the data sets. Finally, I asked the main guys online, Michael Mann and Gavin something about how they are analysing their thermodynamic control volumes.. Crickets...hence I am super cautious of science..."

Well, sadly I think Trump won over the Mormons when he said Mit Romney wasn't a Mormon. Salt Lake Hates Mit Romney because he almost cost them hosting the 2002 Olympics.
