Dumb PTSD stuff (memory/clumsy/etc)

I’ve been on call all weekend, therefore using a work car. My own car has been at work. So I get up this morning and get into the work car, arriving at work. Only at that point did it click that I would be driving my own car home again. And of course I didn’t have the keys did I Epic fail!

Best thing was, my on call partner who also had a work car, did the exact same thing! So maybe it’s not all PTSD eh? In the end I had to swing past home whilst running an errand, get my keys and then take my colleague to his place so he could retrieve his. Boss just laughed at the pair of us!

Three times.......go to throw stuff in recycling or composting while making breakfast and see the ad for drapes in recycling that makes me think - muffin.
Three times, standing in front of the fridge 5 steps away wondering what I'm looking for......

Got plastic eggs out of the basement storage room to start filling them with candy for the big annual grandkids Easter egg hunt...and found many filled with year-old candy from last year.

I forget people's names. Not random people, I mean people I've worked with five, six years plus, those sorts of people. It's so much fun hanving a conversation with someone and finding yourself at this point where you're trying to describe someone you both know well but you haven't a clue what they're called. I usually miraculously get distracted at that point.

Also, I once forgot how to spell the word 'the'. Genuinely.

Wow, you have made me feel so much better. I am now not acutely sick anymore and am working 2 days a week, but I forget so much, and so randomly.
