I mean weather i should be pagan. Its beltane tonight unsure if i should celebrate or dont do anything about it
Mother earth has been crying out to us most people dont care most people just let it happen or mean to hurt mother earth out of greed anything to make money to line their pockets animals slaughtered for food when man can survive being vegan the earth is our one and only home yet we treat it like a garbage dump it had to stop
I want it so much to stop i was at one point thinking of being christian yesterday i post in the christian thread i see that this is false and id better serve this earth as a pagan or as some who can do there bit to at lest help it in any small way I can happy beltane my friends

Ok I think I have a better understanding about what's going on. I was very confused as I saw your other posts as well.

Only you can decide whether you should or not. Let empathy be your guide. There is no such thing as hell or a being who is going to punish you. If what you're doing doesn't harm anyone else, then you are fine.

Going from one faith to the other? I applaud you for doing that. Does it surprise you that I think it is a good thing?
I am a firm believer that learning about different beliefs is important. Sometimes a person has to explore many paths before they find the right on for them. I don't think religion is a one size fits all.

I think a little ocd can be great on a pagan path and harmful on a Christian path, but that is based on my own experiences and may not be true for every one.
Heck, I am continuously modifying my beliefs as I learn and experience new things. The knowledge gained, even if I walk away from something is priceless.

Not everyone can survive being vegan, that is a common misconception. That said I get what you are saying about mother earth and how we treat her. We are just now seeing the cost. I eat meat but I am also against the horrific practices of factory farming. I am careful where I get meat from. I look for family farms and humane operations. I wish one day that vegans and meat eaters could come together on the issue.

So, just let your heart guide you on what is right for you tommorow

@Dirt It's a process, not a race with a finish line. You don't have to figure out everything right now. And what is right for you now, may not be right later. What's right for you in the past could have been just a step on a path taking you on a new path.

I was going to get together with some folks for Beltane tonight. It would have been my first meeting with them and celebration of that holiday. I doubt I will go. I have been sick for nearly two weeks now. I'm not getting any better and am just deeply tired. The get together is about a 45 minute to hour drive. It's also a bit ironic to me, because I will be going from my woodsy home to the city (at a park) to celebrate. I just don't know that I have it in me. Especially because I have therapy today. I missed last week because I was sick and really think missing therapy this week would be a bad idea.

i have decided to stay pagan i wish i could change my name on here but i cant at the moment i guess its silly to call myself dirt Am feeling like ask to change it my partner is also pagan we are looking at different stuff to do with it getting some books and sites

my mental health is better at the moment i bought a pentagram neckless :)

? Nice! I don't consider myself a druid but much of what I do takes from drudical practices, and I have a lot of books published by the ADF. Mind me asking if if your course is ADF, OBOD or other? They both seem great.

John Michael Greer, Issac Bonewits are two well known authors and here is a link to a list of blogs Druid Blogs I find blogs to such a great resource.

The ancient Druids are so fascinating. We are learning more and more everyday as archeologist find more and more. Is there any particular historic group of druids you are drawn to? I know there is a lot more information on in the Irish and Scottish druids, but I love learning about the continental druids, darn them for not writing anything down. There is still a lot more known than what the mainstream is aware of. Caesar isn't the only source.

I would love to visit Angelesy / Inis Mona some day, I can only imagine how potent the energy is there.

Sorry, got excited I will stop now. So happy you found your path. If I wasn't on the path I am on now, that would be the path for me. Off to go listen to some druid inspired music.

I wish I could talk to a shaman or someone similar. I have questions. So many questions. The birds that come to me. Osprey comes just about everyday. And just about every morning osprey calls while I'm in bed just waking up. And I respond "good morning osprey". And the calling stops. Just now I went out the back door onto the deck and osprey was in a tree not far away. I hadn't even seen it yet. It flew right towards me and then turned and flew away heading north.

I'm aware too that lately I've been disconnected from nature. I haven't been out enough. I wonder if osprey comes calling trying to get me up and out to connect again. So many questions.

I have questions. So many questions.

Is it too personal, or is it something you would ask a forum?

Osprey comes just about everyday.

IDK about which traditions, though they can be symbolizing messages / first steps you need to reconnect and make sense of your life, solar cycles / under arching sense of life and purpose beyond generativity, introspection and trusting yourself, visions as in setting long term goals (and unlike hawk those that just glimmer in the distance, instead of goals to get to once sighted... the Hawk is a lot more practical than that & starting the move that IS to be finished.)

The north, similar, is often healing/the beginning of things / return to where one should start a new.

(In case that north was not about metaphysical at all, think of which cities are the north of you, & opportunities found there.)

Thank you for your input @Ronin I do feel like some of what I'd ask or even be told might be more than I'd want to share in an open public forum.

I have three birds that come to me regularly. Especially when I'm upset. The bald eagle the red tailed hawk and the osprey. Every time I see them I immediately give thanks. I have distant ancestors that were natives to Canada and I often wonder if they are sending the birds to me.

I feel like I'm being given information that I don't completely know what it is what I'm supposed to do with it or why I'm being given the information.

I've had what I referred to as dreams but others have said no they were visions. I'm very cautious about using that term. But today I'm feeling particularly down. And I'm thinking maybe part of what I need is to connect Spiritually somehow today. Maybe I need to go outside and stand with my feet on the earth.

I don't completely know what it is what I'm supposed to do with it or why I'm being given the information.

You could try to ask, whichever brings that sense? :)

Or wait, giving it time... see what comes up naturally.
Both externally & inner change.

I've had what I referred to as dreams but others have said no they were visions.

IMHO does not matter as much what you call it, as what it gives you, & where you move you from there.

Time in the nature is grand, enjoy.
