I don't worship anything, period. You don't know the first thing about what I believe and what I don't believe. I told you who were the most helpful when I went to several churches in need of help. And if you want to make assumptions from a small foreign band that doesn't have ties to the u.s. music industry, go ahead. My abusive ex had ties to a mega church. totally a separate issue from. my childhood religious abuse came from a totally different style of Christianity. Anyways if I wanted to argue this stuff I would go to sites like ATS or GLP. Not here.

I think someone got this forum mixed up with organized religion. Anyway - I went towards nature on my 2 days off. First, the beach and then to the mountains to hike. Felt so rejuvenating! My mind is back at peace for a little.

I am learning about Wicca so I'm bumping this thread up. How did you all start? I feel drawn to the Goddess, and most here know I'm an animal, nature, farm loving gal. So it would make sense I'm drawn to the earth worship side. So, what got each of you interested in doing what you do?

Joined a coven since I wrote that last. I also read my cards and it was all good. Amazing! I found a great place to set up an altar, and I want to set up a private one in my room. I still need to smudge, but it is the planting season so I'm busy worshipping the three fold Goddess by planting many different kinds of seeds. I really expanded my herb garden, and will dry them as they are ready, I have several pallet raised beds out front for lettuce, kale, cabbage, flowers, etc. I also am planting lots of veggies so I have enough to honor the God and Goddess by sharing what I'm blessed with.

I'm still in the broom closet in town, but I'm sure that will change. There is another coven where I am moving, however I don't know if I agree with all their beliefs. I don't feel comfortable being skyclad in front of others, CSA, you know, plus being a crone I think I deserve some respect, lol. It is out in cattle country, so I don't think I'll have a lot of choice, but maybe I will just avoid the skyclad celebrations.

Cough (amused) maybe just a Wiccan thing. Other paths of the craft take smudging so so much as bit of an excess, old things have power / all that dust and cobbwebbs are full of energy to put to works.

So if you only feel you need it for the status? That is totes something you can reason about differently, within the same framework.

(Got no issue with paths where nudity and celebration of it is a part, but it being a requirement of some sort is always worth double thinking?)

I am unsure from time to time too, mainly because we were taught that these beliefs were myths. I feel a calling from the three fold Goddess though, so I will follow it.
