Breaking out all of a sudden in some sort of rash - first time in my life. The itch is horrible, gracing both arms and both legs. Is this due to stress? I have changed nothing in my diet either. My dermatologist thinks it may be eczema, but he is uncertain. Unsure what to do. Going to pick up some Triamcinolone cream tomorrow. Has anyone else had this?

I get eczema on my face, on my cheeks on either side of my nose. Usually it's not too bad, but if I am over-stressed it can get really bad.
Starting new meds does it to me as well.

Sometimes it seems to come on for no apparent reason.

I find if I keep it super clean and moisturised it doesn't make it look better, but it clears it up faster. Though every few months I have a few days where I just have to take a deep breath and head out into my day with a pair of hideous red blotches in the middle of my face.

I used to get super embarrassed about it, but I'm just used to it now. Still isn't fun though.

Aveeno makes a moisturiser that I really like. Says eczema care right on the bottle. Seems to help a bit. Don't know if it makes it go away faster, but it makes it not itch and burn so bad.
The less I touch it, the faster it heals, that I do know.

I've had eczema my whole life and never tracked down what was causing it (if anything other than stress). Try not to scratch or pick at it, that makes it worse and can leave scars (I say hypocritically as I've been scratching all day...oh well).

My son has eczema and I used to have it when I was young but it went away.
Its an inflammatory response obviously, any prescription strength cortisone cream will help pretty fast.
I had this until I was in my 20's and my son gets it easily, he's 18.

I think if your prone to it, a combination of stress and diet will set it off. I know that when I went through big drinking phases
I used to get it, alcohol is not your friend if you are having an outbreak!

I totally swear by using avocado oil, just the kind you buy in the grocery store for cooking. I'd just rub it in to the spots regularly and it would go away.
And tanning beds! but no one wants to do that anymore, a good tan will clear it up.

If you havent already done it, check to see what your food and preservatives allergies are. A lot of the time its
an auto immune response to some chemical.

I haven't had it for years now but when I did it was usually on inner thighs, back of knees and on face.
I found that it was brought on my feeling stress, anxiety and diet.
I have an auto immune condition so it was likely an inflammatory response. When I cut out moulds and sugar - dried fruits, pistachios, cashews etc. and decreased stress (I know, hard with PTSD!) it went away.
In terms of treatment; diet, rubbing almond oil on the patches and good old calamine lotion helped to to stop the itching.
I also avoided bath, sauna and steams, this seemed to make it worse.

Wishing you to be more at ease, as soon as.

Yeah I get it with stress. The prescription creams never seemed to help me and they always bloody stink.

I find raw pressed coconut oil helps mine. The only thing is the dog follows me around all day and tries to lick it off. I only ever get it when I'm overly stressed for too long.
