Jimi Hendrix got me good on Machine Gun but it might be a little inappropriate here.

Nas has great lyrics. One of the best lyricist I've seen in my lifetime at least. I think Nas has great lyrics that contribute to moral and virtuous growth, while depicting the sad reality of modern life.

Patience - this is by far one of the deepest songs I know next to Hendrix and a few Beatles song. I also remember Harry Chapin with a song about his son called "Cat's in the Cradle." But this one takes the cake. It's hard to understand what Damian Marley's saying but he says some legit stuff. This song is pretty much the flaws of the world in a nutshell, and some are ironic dark lyrics that represent the ignorance and the lack of care.

This is one of the best topics to discuss. There are many favorite songs of mine. When compared all the lyrics of each of them I found the Oh Irony is the best in lyrics. I would like to thank the members of the forum for promoting the post.

I'd like to start off by saying, if you don't like heavy music don't look this song up on youtube. But for the past few years, more than any song or any poem I've ever read... I identify with these lyrics. I thought I'd share, not to make people more depressed... But because I find strange comfort in this song when I'm having an especially hard day and I am too lost to listen to anything 'happy' and I just need something to identify my feelings with. Because it reminds me that it's not just me totally alone. If you have a song you identify with a lot, please feel free to share. :)

Also, the reason I posted it here over any of the other boards was because I need this song to get angry and upset with and identify with when I'm having severe depression or suicidal issues(I'm sorry to any staff member if this is in the wrong place, I wasn't sure where else to post this, obviously move it as you see fit if you need to). It's better for me to relate to a simple song rather than talk to someone who I know doesn't know what the hell I'm talking about or where I'm coming from(in real life) and they just sit and stare and make generic responses.
