Where to start. My combat veteran and I have been together 3 years. He has PTSD. I'm the first woman he's let himself get close to in 13 years. It's been ups and downs but I've stood by his side and he by mine. I'm a domestic abuse survivor as well.

I've been having issues for over a year to which I just had sinus surgery telling me this will fix my problem and I felt great for about two months. Now I hear some news that I most likely have a brain tumor. This brain tumor is not like the rest. It is called acoustic neuroma. It is a tumor that is located in the area that connects from the brain to the middle ear it effects balance, causes dizziness, ringing in ears, facial numbness, vomiting, deafness in the effected ear. I haven't gotten the official diagnosis yet but I think it's pretty certain as to what I've heard. My vet is a loving man who at times yes does isolate and push me away but I know he loves me. I've never heard the words, but I know he does.
Last night in fact he sang me these lyrics from a country song " If I gave you my hand would you take it
And make me the happiest man in the world
If I told you my heart couldn't beat one more minute without you, girl
Would you accompany me to the edge of the sea
Let me know if you're really a dream,
so would you go with me?" It was the sweetest thing ever! I really felt the love! Now I've told him that I'm sick and he's gone. I mean, I need him now more than ever and it hurts. I know it's likely stresses him out and I get it but the other side of me needs my boyfriend. Just feeling down I guess.
