Fifty Shades Trilogy

Yeah, very repetitive and hard to get into. Same old sex scenes again and again. A yoyo effect going on throughout the book. He says no, she says yes. He lays down the rules and breaks them constantly to accomodate her wants and needs.

Okay, they are totally addicted to each other both physically and mentally. She doesn't like him as a person but is mesmerised by him. He thinks he is in control, but is not and I'm only up to chapter 18 in book one. He is a control freak, so is she in her own way.

God, these characters really need to see a good shrink. The only one with their head screwed on in the author, she making a ton of money out of it. Good on her.

Did you know that this was a self-published ebook that took off? Because of its success, a publisher then picked it up, marketed it, and it is what it is today.

Book two and three are the better of the series, though you have to have read the first to understand the fundamentals, unfortunately.

By the way I am fascinated by the fact that Ana was a virgin who never masterbated or anything before. Overnight she turns into a nymphomaniac who has orgasims in her sleep. Interesting................

Maybe I'm doing the same as Ana and over analysing everything.

This is the thing that got me the most when I read it. It's more like Anthony said in the above post. I think Anna (and the author) are lying!

I still don't have book 2 or 3 but I will read them when I get the chance.

It's still a fun read!

I love the books. I skip over the sex parts too triggering for me. But I am enjoying the stories very much. I am on the second book. It is very different. I have never read anything like it before.

Into book 2, story is getting better and making more sense. Man, Christian has a serious case of PTSD and I can see why.

Due to his wealth, he can indulge himself in his fantasies. Becomes the alternate control freak, having power to buy what he wants, manipulate people, living out his dark side without the outside world finding out.

Christian has met his match in Ana who is headstrong and stubborn. She will not be bought and prefers to support herself. Slowly she gives in to his needs, while at the same time he begins to view some of his issues in a different light.

He is possessive and jealous, she breaks the rules. He certainly has a lot of baggage that pops up unexpectantly. Christian treats his submissives as non persons, sending them to the same salons, shops even buying the same Audi A3's. They all look similiar, the answer to that reveals itself half way through book 2. They fall deeply in love with each other. Neither fully trusts the other.

It's very long and drawn out, skipping a lot of the sex scene's as Anthony did, same old, same old. Books are much to long, I think a lot of people keep reading maybe for the sex tips more than the stories.
