Ohhhh man Jen, this is a power loaded poll, and I understand you want this to be a research and not a guilt triggering thread. I would like to justify what happened, but I do know that I would not let it happen again ... I have evolved and gotten ressources that were not accessable to me at that time.

This is women only so I'm not going to actually vote in the poll. If I could vote for my wife I'd say she's putting our kids in harms way by being with me.
Maybe thats part of the soft spot. Living with someone who has PTSD is dangerous so every wife who's husband is dx PTSD is putting their kids at risk.

To Innordinate : wow, you have my respect for being honest, and by being honest, you are also putting yourself in the situation of becoming responsable for your actions. You know, it's not only men with ptsd can put others into danger, but women too. The difference is by applicating what you need to do not to harm others ... even if that means getting a separation and accepting that is the best way to show your true love for your children. My mother should have done that, now it's only my brother and I who assume some responsibilities due to her old age and dementia. None of the others can deal with her. You have the guts to be honest ... you then have the guts to do something ...
