Sufferer Forgiveness

Forgiveness needs to be earned, all 3 of them are in Jail for what they did to me, my brother and others, not one of them showed any remorse at all.

Whew. Nailed it. Seek what path to undo. No jail time. Justice at work. Or remorse. So that does not work either does it? Not stitches not bandaids not an I' so sorry. No. Thank you for sharing that the justice aspect does not salve.

Back to forgiveness. Why bother with that. You have just made me understand that it does not matter what they do now, it will not change what they did, only what I can try to retrieve, knit together of ME, not live in anger and pain. Not what I should do about forgiving not self harming from a shame that is not mine. Why do I think I could have altered what happened to me and be responsible for that?

For me forgiveness was not condoning, but moving past the anger/rage so that I could be free.
