Frustrated and feeling abandoned again

I finally got in to see a new T last week which was good but I think it is going to take time to work out if we are a good fit... problem being my next appointment is not until October! In the mean time, my support worker changed jobs and my new support worker who was supposed to be taking over from her has made zero contact not even a quick msg to check in. So frustrating. Just as I seem to be forming therapeutic relationships they leave! I know I could always ring in and make an appointment with the new support worker but I am feeling really frustrated. It has been well over 2 weeks since she took over my case and I was assured she would contact me within the first week.

On the social front my closest friend who lives near by just seems to be distancing herself more and more. Always seems to be too busy to catch up and communication between us has gone from texting every few days to rarely getting a response once a week. Makes it feel like I'm too much hard work to be around. All this just makes me want to isolate more and more as I find every time I make an effort to reach out people back off or leave.

I get it! It often feels like a vicious circle....I feel abandoned, like I am too much, then I pull away more and just don't even make effort...not worth it...then I am miserable and alone...aghhh. So sorry that you are going through this. I hate it when I am assured someone will call...sets up your expectations and it does not happen. I hope that things work out with new T.
