Within the last 3 years or so, I read Pete Walkers book, CPTSD: From surviving to thriving. I'm not much of a reader these days, and didn't read the entire book, but it finally let me know what I've suffered from most all of my life.
I'm still suffering but I don't blame or hate myself for it anymore. I've learned to be kinder to myself and try to be my own best friend. I've come to believe that I'm the only one qualified to be my best friend, make the best decisions for myself, etc...
