In the Fall in the US grocery stores sell cinnamon-scented brooms (decorative) and pine cones. Do they have that in AUS? I am such a sucker for them but they don’t last long. Off to light my cinnamon-scented candle!

We have a season known as fall it lasts about 20 seconds between omg it’s hot and omg I’m freezing. It snowed in May this year!

Growing up, I used to be transported by the smells wafting out from the pub near home. Cigarettes and alcohol and perfume / aftershave.

My Nana used to smell of Elnett hairspray

Sea air has a lovely whiff.

And I used to live somewhere that was so green it even smelled green.

I have the worst association with cigarette smoke. It’s a trigger I haven’t even attempted to deal with, it’s like my
Mind goes berserk and I have zero ability to rationalize. Both uncles smoked.

fender guitars used to come in cases that smelled of vanilla oil when you opened them, it was wonderful to open them up and catch the smell as you picked up the guitar and further spread the scent around yourself. I dont think i noticed it when it went away but it did and i missed it so now i put some vanilla oil in every case i own. It is a wonderful, grounding thing.

Roses, white carnations, violets, the air and water in the crisp morning at the beach, puppy fur, burgers on the grill, pineapple wine, campfires, fresh sheets, the gas/oil smell of a snowblower is a big one. Another one here for Hawaiian Tropic.

Certain perfume, wish I knew what it was but I don’t. Not sure where it puts me but it feels like a long time ago, and comforting.

Also the smell of beer and weed together. similar to above, brings me back a long time. I have no idea why.

I love the smell of cold, crisp air. Especially in fall/winter or at night.

Melting chocolate.
When we visited Hershey, Pennsylvania when our kids were young I made them all stand out on our hotel balcony and breathe in the smell of chocolate in the air. Sensory bliss!
