Guest Discussion Now Activated Near Sitewide

Any public forum that guests have access to, they can now post within the majority of them. There are exceptions, such as no new threads in certain forums, such as announcements or having a trauma diary... though otherwise they can post.

The feature is there, but it is harder for guests to post. First they have to use the captcha for every post, as well as comply with the anti-spam features already in place. If they get that warning, then they have to fill out the captcha again.

All their content is also moderated automatically, requiring a member of staff to review the context of the content and approve or delete it.

Yes, I am going to remove the guest discussion forum.... tomorrow... moving its threads into the appropriate topic forums. Just late here is all... but it will be gone.

I am going to then shift the anonymous forum to two, one in the PTSD section, one in the supporter section.

There is a conflict in the system between the homepage system and new guest threads. In other words, guests can post new threads into moderation, but we cannot approve them until I have found and fixed the issue specifically. It is being worked on, and hopefully we can get guest new threads approved soon.

I apologise for the inconvenience, it is simply the nature of software upgrades that issues arise.

Ok, this may have just been a glitch with something else happening at the same time. Will wait and see if it continues, but otherwise passed testing at this point.

All guest threads in the original guest only forum, have no been dispersed across the site within their relevant forum topics, thus deleting that forum.

Pretty funny... just checked the human anti-spam logs... and since opening this up to all guests, that system is earning its worth now. It's been a busy little beaver thwarting spammer after spammer trying to promote their rubbish.
