thinking of you as you go. If I remember correctly my appt was with a psychiatrist and lasted about 30 minutes

So just an update for u caring folks: appointment lasted 3 hours. I was going a bit nuts at times and she kept offering to take a break but on the other hand she said if we don't finish in time, I'll have to come back another day so I told her I just want it over with.

Hope I did ok. My competitive streak came out and I started really TRYING to get things RIGHT... Which is so messed up, I know. So maybe I screwed myself there.

Who knows? I will... Hopefully soon... Running out of options

Omigosh! Three hours is incredible!! I have a hard time with my therapist for one hour.

I've been through 2, each about 75 minutes. Same results of GAD and CPTSD on both. Denied twice for SSDI. I have an attorney as I am also fighting an insurance company for my LTD. It's just a long frustrating process but, with support, I am not so "freaked out" about it. An attorney is a must if you suffer with anxiety! Peace

Just for any one else....I had an IME with pyschologist for manulife. It lasted 2 hours, I broke down ...so ironically....it went great.

I recorded the entire thing, just using my phone. Didn't say anything, I consider them my personal notes.... but, you have no literal defence if/as he or she records inaccurately, or leaves out critical questions etc. I then saved it to my drive. In case there's ever dishonest testimony, at least I have a record.

I believe that every patient who has to undergo that procedure should be in their full rights to first demand such an examination result from the person that is attempting for the patient to undergo that exam first.

Meaning: if you want to screen me for possible mental health conditions you better show me a document first that shows me what your stats are in that area.
