In lieu of the forum being closed for the weekend, I thought I would take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful weekend. Might I suggest you all do something nice for yourselves, something enjoyable.

Jim and I are going to have a lovely weekend ourselves. We had no idea of it until this morning, however Evie purchased for us concert tickets to a show we very much wish to see, and a 2 night stay at a spa in the city! She further made arrangements for herself and Jacob to be looked after whilst we were gone! We were ever so surprised and touched. All this time whilst we thought she was just resting and thinking of herself (and rightly so, considering her illness), she has been scheming and planning! We know some of the money she used she was saving to purchase a car for herself, which only makes it all the more special, that she would spend her precious car funds on Jim and I!

I have only been to this spa once previous, it is very romantic. Really I am so pleased to be going, as Jacob starts school next week and we will not be able to get away again easily for quite a while. Therefore, since Jim and I will be enjoying ourselves tremendously no doubt, I wish the same to all of you!

Yep that was a shocker for sure. Never saw that one coming. Makes one wonder what else she's up to. ;-) Touching though, truly. Had a tear in my eye.

A pleasant weekend to all.

Jim.

They say that actions speak louder than words....Evie's actions spoke volumes.........She seems to love you both dearly.......ENJOY your weekend, knowing how much you are loved by her.

Have a great weekend Kathy and Jim you deserve it!
That was a lovely thought from Evie!

Thanks all. Well. Seems the forum is updated ahead of schedule. However. Still having the weekend off. :-) See you all Monday. Take good care.

Jim.

Yes we are leaving very shortly, thank you all and do try to have a lovely weekend yourselves!

Well, so much for our weekend! The concert was fabulous and we did have one lovely evening, however Jacob got himself into some serious trouble last night, and so we thought it best to return early. We obtained a voucher for the remaining time at the spa, since Evie paid for the entire weekend for us. We do hope to return to the spa in a couple of weeks once things are settled at home. Not certain what we are going to do with Jacob, but his actions were quite serious and therefore the consequences will be serious as well.

What a shame Kathy and Jim that you had to cut your weekend short I hope it is not to serious!

Well, was going to add have a great time, though you did, for one night... and obviously rudely interrupted by Jacobs behaviour... so sorry about that one. No doubt Evie is pissed at Jacob!!!

Yes unfortunately we had to collect Jacob from the police, and only parents or those who have custody of a minor can do that, so we had no choice in the matter. Jacob was thankfully not charged, it was more a case of him being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and with the wrong people! However, he has already been warned about that, and was under strict instructions to remain home this weekend. So he is in big trouble, needless to say!

Evie should be pissed at Jacob, however I believe she was more simply relieved to see us, she received unhappy news from the doctors in our absense and was feeling rather down about it. She's a little improved now since our return. We will still be going to the spa in a couple of weeks, even if we have to chain Jacob to the floor in the meantime!
