Something scary happened again, I've heard a voice. The first time this happened to me was past year when I was talking with somebody on Facetime, I've heard two people talking a men and a women it was strange because it seemed as if they were in the same room as me and there was nobody there except me. So I asked the person with who I was talking if there was someone with him and he said no. It sounded so realistic. After that one day in class the teacher was talking with the student and I heard someone screaming but it was creepy like he was being murdered or something so I looked at the other student but nobody reacted, usualy they would have reacted and I know that.

Saturday night, I was going to play a little on my Ipod like I usually do before going to sleep since I have dificulty falling asleep, so I closed the light and got in bed with my Ipod, I opened the game but then I heard someone saying my name it sounded like a whisper in my ear it was the voice of a man, my heart stopped for a moment and I froze, I was terified! I know it wasn't the game because there is no voice in that game and the sound was really low. Now I'm really scared when there is no music or people talking, I'm afraid that the voice might come again since it isn't my first time hearing voice... Is that possible that because of the abuse I've had for 12 year with my father and the 2 sexual abuse my brain as been damaged?

Hi BlueDaisy,

You really need to discuss this with your T or a doctor. Hearing voices is not rare in people who have survived a trauma. But you should not deal with this alone. It might be nothing and never happen again, but it also just might be a sign that you are not doing so well and need extra help and support.

On the other hand, just maybe it is an overactive imagination or even some sort of flashback. So stop worrying about it, but don't simply ignore it. Ask the experts!!!

Best wishes,
Lucy

Thanks for you're reply I will talk to my T and my familly doctor about it . :)

I am glad to know that I am not alone in dealing with these kinds of things. It really helps to read about others experiences.

I've been hallucinating again. Yuck and its really upsetting. I'm hearing voices and seeing spiders and flies. I guess I need to make a phone call to my APRN. I just really wish this woul go away!!!!:insane:

Sometimes when I am sleeping, I wake to hear whispers like talking. Sometimes I feel someone is stroking my arm or tickling my feet. As I wear earplugs to sleep I cannot really make out what the voices are saying. It is truly terrifying though. My guess is, it is when I am not fully awake yet.

It is definatly something you should bring up with your therapist.
