Hi Conquer I just joined yesterday too, this place is pretty wonderful. Everyone has been really nice and has made me feel comfortable, which is amazing since I am usually really cautious and reserved. I hope you experience the same. I am also a survivor of a childhood of hell, you're not alone. Best to you and I am sorry you went through that.

Stay golden and shine on.

While I am not glad to know that anyone else has suffered through a hellish childhood, I am glad to know I'm not alone... because I feel very, very alone. I've never talked to anyone who has suffered through childhood abuse anywhere near as severe as mine and so I feel like there's no one who understands. I hope to use this forum more often.

There are people of all walks of life, of all kinds of abuse and trauma here. There will be people here who will relate to your experiences of abuse and trauma, and there'll be people here who'll relate to how you cope or don't cope with every day life. I think being understood on both spectrums are just as important as each other.

Well done on opening up here and I hope you find the safety to keep opening up. Talking is so important - not just talking about the past but also talking about how you're dealing with life today in the aftermath of the past. Talking/writing helps process things.

Welcome to the forum and *hugs* if you'd like them.
