Just trying to find out how things fit, me no ptsd spouse suffers we are in a 17 year marriage and trying to keep it together.

PTSD can be really tough on spouses, in ways that the sufferer is often unable to see through the filters of their own pain. There is a lot of support here for spouses and partners. Have a look at the supporter forums, supporters need their own support too and friends and family typically just don't have the experience or knowledge to give meaningful support.

My wife and I have found this very tough at times, but we are now working as a partnership again while I am working on my recovery. We found talking and regular simple displays of affection to be a great help, even though it can be tough to make the first breakthroughs in sharing our fears about the situation.

Not sure if I need to move this to supporter forums most likely so I will be brief here. Just has been a very tough month and a half. We just came off of a 4 year long set of stressful situations that have never seemed to stop with the expected end result. I am sure most here know what its like, for me it has been the worst I have had to cope with in our relationship just hoping this gets to a better balance soon
