I have been with a girl for 2 years and a few months. All was good but a little tricky when I had to move away for work 8 months ago. I was making moves to return but my efforts to secure work near here were being blocked which was disappointing.

Anyway, her anxiety has built over the last few months and when me met there was panic attacks or raging at me followed by make ups. At first I didn't realise it was anxiety and contributed to the arguments.

So she asked for space 3 weeks ago at which I tried to change her mind but after she cried on the phone I realised it was more serious and have been out of touch two weeks. She felt 'drained, exhausted, terrified, and confused' and didn't know about us.

I've been turned upside down by this and I'm not sure what to do next. I don't want to smother but also don't want to appear uninterested.

Any thoughts?
 
It sounds like she could really benefit from therapy.... Is that something you could suggest to her?

Good luck with this. I know how hard it is to be a supporter. :(
