Can't seem to get back to semi "normal". Hate being like this.
Can relate :( and I just started to do better on an anxiety medicine. Then a terrible trigger from past (not sure if it's the trigger or medicine, but I think it was trigger.) But I hate this state, and just want to go back to being semi-normal.
In the past these things helped - maybe they will help you:
- Relaxing music like R. Carlos Nakai "Canyon Trilogy" (relaxing Native American music)
- Soul Of Healing Affirmations by Deepak Chopra (both this and above come with Rhapsody)
- App called "Calm"
- Way too many hours watching H2 (History 2 channel). It's not your school year history - trust me. Sometimes just getting larger perspective helps. But I like to always be learning news things - so maybe it's just my escape. Do you have an escape? Something to get yourself lost in?
- Walk, move, be in motion
- Try to find a place in nature, or semi-nature place, and focus on wonders of natural life...plants, leaves, ducks, birds...notice the
small things...even grass, and insects...... Nature has so much to offer us.
Deep breathing should help a bit, hopefully, and comfort food and a good environment, drink water, find distractions, find calming stuff! Everything's gonna be alright!
Have to 2nd deep breathing, or "remembering to breath deeply."
My thoughts are with you...
