@Jencordiner Thank you. Feeling like I can't catch my breath, but that always happens after bouts of adrenaline and panic attacks with me. It's like the lingering side effects of panic and anxiety. Maybe it's just going to be an episode for the next few days.
So, I just float through it, it's all I can do. But, thank you for your concern. I hope you are well too! :)

You're welcome.
Not so good.
Did you check out the tapping vids?
I used to hate that feeling. Almost like you can't breath quite deep enough. Makes you more anxious. Just wanted to say hang in.
I'm not medicated and I don't experience panic attacks anymore. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
I wouldn't have believed that at the time but it's true.
Big hugs. X

This is encouraging. It's brilliant that you overcame it all! Well done to you and thanks for you advice and suggestions.

I have tried tapping but that doesn't work for me. I think I am more the type of person that just wants to understand my physical symptoms and maybe that is part of the problem. Without realising it, I am probably fighting against them and make myself worse. It's just it's so spontaneous the attacks, they come out of nowhere and I never understand it and that lack of understanding makes my days turn into hell and make me feel worse!

This site has been helping though and meeting like minded people like yourself. Thank you for your support and very encouraging words! Well done to you as well.

Watch Spartanlifecoach on YouTube. He talks about narcissistic parents, psychosomatic illness, PTSD etc. There are some interesting points in his videos. You might find him interesting.

wow! What an eye opener! Can I just say thank you again? Thank you so much. I would never have looked for such videos, I have just watched it and it has certainly got me thinking and looking at things in a totally different perspective, which I think we all need. Thank you again for your help. Honestly, it's very appreciated!

Hi Saint Nik
When I was reading your posts, it sounded like you were describing my panic attacks. I just wanted to further solidify the notion that you are not alone. I too, have great trouble breathing and as a result, my back, neck and stomach get in knots. I don't know if this will aid you, but I run a large towel and facecloth in hot water. The towel I wrap around my back and put the facecloth on my neck. Then I'll wrap up in a warm robe to keep the heat in. I find this relaxes the muscles that get in knots. As for the mental aspect of the attack, I find distraction, even by doing small tasks help keep my mind busy. I hope you are well and that take some comfort in knowing that there's many caring and knowledgeable folks here.

Where I live in North Carolina (USA), one can call 911 on their phone and the ambulance will come and check your vitals. They don't charge for this, as long as you don't have them take you to the Hospital. I do this when I am having chest pain and all the other stuff that one can panic over. As long as my vitals check out OK, I refuse the ride to the Hospital. I have done this 3-4 times now. I don't have chest pain often, but one time I was terrified that I was having a stoke. They checked out all the stroke symptoms on me, said I did not have any of these and then I sent them on their way.

Now, I would suppose if you called them every week or so, they might have an issue with you! However, since I don't often get symptoms I feel are serious enough to warrant their coming, I can get away with this.
