I posted on here the other day. I was just curious about something. My guy has shut me out and has told me he needed time and space. He blocked me on instagram, but still posts pictures. Is that normal? For them to shut someone out, needing time and space...but yet still lives their everyday life while posting on Instagram? Kind of feeling like I'm forgotten, and like he doesn't care about me at all :/

There's a few of us here who have experienced the same thing, although mine was Facebook. I guess it makes it easier for them to completely block us out of their lives and forget about us. I really believe they freak out when they start to get close to someone. Mine also blocked me after our first breakup, but came back 2 days later. Since it's been 2 months this time, I'm assuming the block is permanent. Before he went back overseas he had said to me he was worried about us getting closer because it makes it harder to leave. I guess completely blocking protects them from the emotions they are feeling.

Yep, completely "normal". Some people go fine though life, communicate with coworkers and friends, but shut off the closest family members. It's all about emotions: the more emotional it is, the more likely they will shut it off, can't handle. Does it make a situation better? Not really, because you are still shut off, it does not matter why and does not indicate that it would get better with time...

Oh yes. Going through the very same thing. Mine unfollowed me and took down all of our pics and comments on his IG page. Yet he lets me follow him but said he can't follow me because it hurts too much. I don't know. I'm still learning. But yes, learning it is very normal for sufferers to completely live their lives normally yet shut out those they are closest to. Therefore they don't need to have feelings or emotions. Just cope with day to day. Hugs.
