I am living with an ex Jehova Witness who after a nine month breakdown she developed BP1 and after a 6 year relationship (full of turmoil!) and 2 children we have just got to the point where she thinks she is suffering from PTSD. It has been a revelation that her behaviour is so well described by the condition as I have been put through the ringer due to the push and pull nature of her behaviour. Its great to find this forum. On October 1st we are going back to her Psychiatric doctor for an hour session to describe her behaviour and really do hope that the right therapy can be started (CBT). hopefully this will be the start of a better understanding and a better relationship for our children to grow up under.

Bipolar alone can be a crazy rollercoaster ride for a partner. Getting the right therapist is definitely important to healing. Hoping you have a good support system yourself because to be helpful to her healing process you need to be well too (something I'm struggling with currently). Definitely check out the supporter section! Welcome, and good luck!
