What is VA? My trauma started 6 years ago and lasted 3 years and PTSD has come out of no where. I have been fine for 3 years.

The US system seems much better than our NHS when it comes to mental health care.

Don't get too jealous! The US system, outside of the military, is entirely private. Starts at about $120 for 50 minutes.

UK peeps wait on waiting lists.
US peeps wait on saving up the money.

Oh sorry -- forgot you are in the UK. The Veterans Administration -- where they send all us messed up military folks. And yep - i was fine for a long time, then one day PTSD took over. My T says its because I was in a place where my brain thought it was good to start thinking about it. I did not agree. Brain won.

And the PTSD has probably been there all along - you just didn't know it.

I wonder if I felt "safe" too and it was time to allow myself to start my recovery?
