I am owner training my own Service Dog with help of trainer as needed (mostly just for any behavioral issue). That is her in my profile :)

I research whatever pops up in my brain. For instance, I research TONS of service dog info. Lots of animal related topics, art topics.

I also love role playing games- animals/humans

When I'm actually overwhelmed & shutting down... I disengage.
- Music, dance, movies, and Olympic napping.

When I'm on my way there... Fine motor & precise control
- Shooting, weapons maintenance, makeup application, reading, writing, driving.

To avoid going there... Gross motor & partnership
- martial arts, horseback riding, surfing/snowboarding (the partnership is gravity & tides, I have to be interacting with a force outside of my control), sex.

I completely understand the love/hate on/off. I tried for a while but now I can't find my camera.

Crochet

My wife does a little. She wants to teach me. The first Christmas we had together she made me the best throw blanket. It is huge and heavy. I love having heavy blankets on me, I find it comforting

About two years ago I started a cross stitch pattern. I intend to take it up again this winter and hopefully finish it!

Do you know the difference between cross stitch, crochet and knitting? I am interested.

Playing matching games, like candy crush, on my phone or tablet

Candy Crush, oh how you haunt me. I couldn't get past a chocolate stage and got tired trying. I gave up.

Gardening

We live in the city so gardening is out for me. Which is probably a good thing. I can not grow anything. I have a brown thumb. The school that my agency has, teaches the children how to garden. The kids then come to our building and sell their product. It is a really good program.

I love music. I enjoy anything from Dusty Springfield to Metallica back to Beethoven. I have no rhythm and two left feet, no dancing for me.

Weapons are a trigger for me but I want to learn how to properly use one. I hope if I knew more about them and the safety of them, my fear and trigger will lessen.

There is nothing better then an afternoon driving trip to nowhere.

I tried martial arts once, but we need to go back to the two left feet.
