Any animal based or human.
Have you played the Harvest Moon series? I love that one! What about Animal Crossing? I want to get the new one but I want to finish Rune Factory 4, which is based on the Harvest Moon series.

What is art journaling?
I journal on one side of a notebook, and scrapbook one or all the stuff from my journaling. Or I get a Smash Book, (you can google it, that would be faster than a description) or something like it, and journal as I create pages. I also use Smash Books to record short term goals and how they worked out. I also take a lot of pictures, lol.

"Do you know the difference between cross stitch, crochet and knitting? I am interested"

@Bookoffee knitting and crochet are very similar in what you produce but the process is different. Knitting uses knitting needles (two long sticks) crochet uses one crochet hook (about the size and shape of a pen).

Crochet uses more yarn (people say is yarn hungry) to produce the same size end product because there is more twisting. So crocheters tend to used cheaper yarn than knitters.

People tend to much prefer one or the other. I think it comes down to the action made while you do it. I find crochet more calming personally.

If you like knitting there is a charity called "wrapped with love" that I knit for. It's great knitting projects esp for beginner knitters or therapeutic knitting as you just knit simple squares that end up joined as blankets.

Well I have always play PS3 with my kids and after talking to a friend I started playing minecraft, it's just a way of loosing myself in a calm game, I started my week with a therapist and I think it has helped me to focus on something else other than the intrusive images I keep getting,

Ghotiff has described knitting and crochet, so I'll add: cross stitch is literally following a colour coded pattern to create a picture on material with little cross (x) stitches. You use embroidery thread and a fairly thick needle depending on your backing material. I am doing one that is a sheep dog and two sheep.

I have two horses which I keep on a private piece of land I rent in the countryside. I also have three sheep! I find it quite peaceful there as I am on my own, and can potter about cleaning the field, pulling weeds, fixing the fence, etc.

If you don't have a garden do you have space for a window box or a few pots on a balcony? You can grow so much if you think outside the box. For example, this year we experimented with plastic guttering attached to our fence with brackets. We planted strawberries in them and they were very successful. Being on the fence kept them away from pests, and they used space that was not in use.
Window boxes can be used for flowers, herbs but also carrots, spring onions, radishes....

I also love role playing games- animals/humans

:) I've done that with my kid forever. When he doesn't want to talk to me, I'll put on an accent I don't wear most of the time (grew up traveling, and tossed into speech pathology wherever we moved, so I've got 8 or 9 pure ones, and then a dozen or so that are okay where we didn't live there long enough for the full accent to elbow a space in my brain), or he can talk to the cat. I do pretty decent tabby cat, so so Siamese. Tacit rule is I'm not allowed to mention anything about the conversation back as 'Mom'. He gets to chat me up, without our usual schemas in play. It's good stuff.

I think I need more hobbies, too,

This is why I started this thread. I want to see what others have to offer. There is so much more I would like to learn to do.

We do have a balcony. I love strawberry so I may try that next year. Thank you for the idea.
